Meet The Canine Body and Mind Team!
Beth Belock, DVM has been caring for pets in the Michiana area since 2012.
Dr. Belock uses a veterinary and training approach that is Inspired by Kindness and Informed by Science. Her passion is creating the best possible veterinary and training experiences for dogs, and she is committed to using positive, evidence-based techniques.
This passion led Dr. Belock to create Canine Body and Mind in 2022 so she could focus on the physical and behavioral wellness of dogs in a setting designed around the dog’s needs and perspective.
She became a certified Fear Free Veterinary Professional in 2017 and has been teaching puppy classes since completing the Karen Pryor Puppy Start Right for Instructors course in 2014. She completed the Click to Calm for Instructors course from the Karen Pryor Academy in 2023. She is a member of the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior, the Pet Professional Guild, an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and a Level 1 AKC Fit Dog Intructor. She attends annual CE events on various veterinary behavior topics and loves attending the Clicker Expo.
Lindsay has had a love for animals since she was young, and began working with them professionally as a staff member at Serenity Pet Spaw in 2021, where she has gained experience working with complex behavioral cases. When she got her first personal dog in 2022, she began exploring training for competitive dog sports and is now actively training in Agility, Obedience, Rally, and FastCAT.
Lindsay takes a relationship based approach to training that has largely been informed by the classes, camps, conferences, and webinars she has attended through Fenzi Dog Sports Academy. She is passionate about finding creative and tailored ways to break down challenging concepts for both ends of the leash. Her mission is to help people better communicate with their dogs, and help them deepen their connection through training, games, and play.
Lindsay teaches our Puppy Class, Intro to Manners Class, Novice and Intermediate Trick Classes, Loose Leash Walking Class and Games Class. She also teaches private lessons and leads educational workshops. She shares her life with her two young, energetic, and brilliant Miniature American Shepherds, Anya and Mira, and her four cats. In her free time, she enjoys taking her dogs to private dog parks she finds on the app, SniffSpot, and training new tricks.

Sina John, licensed dog trainer and behavior therapist
Sina has always loved caring for animals. After finishing college and working for a couple of years, she decided to turn that interest into something more. She earned her Dog Trainer and Behavior Therapist license in Germany, where she completed a one-year full-time apprenticeship at Steffi Baumer’s RudelHerzen dog academy. Being a native German, her training is informed by different approaches, which all focus on positive reinforcement. In Germany she worked with dogs of all ages, leading puppy classes, adult classes and a course for reactive dogs. Her goal is to help people understand their dog’s body language and make their bond even stronger through a positive training approach. Sina is an AKC CGC Evaluator and a member of the Pet Professional Guild. She teaches private lessons, Community Puppy Class, Reactive Dog Class and weekend workshops on Mantrailing.
Emily Jolly
Emily has never known a day without dogs. She has always had a passion for animal health and well being and began her first job in veterinary medicine in 2016. Her love for dog training began in 2019 when she adopted her beloved chow, Mars, who dealt with reactivity. With the help of The Control Unleashed Program and The Fenzi Dog Sport Academy, Emily discovered how much positive reinforcement based training can help a reactive dog navigate the world and wanted to share it with others. Since then, Emily has continued her education by obtaining certifications with Do More With Your Dog, reading, and attending workshops and conferences. Emily works to bring force free training into all aspects of her animal care, from training her dogs to teaching her hedgehog, Potato, how to grind her own nails.
Emily participates in dog sports with her 3 dogs, including FastCAT, canicross, scent work, and AKC trick dog. In her non-dog related time, Emily can be found hiking with her cat, running, gaming and listening to podcasts. It is Emily’s life goal to advocate for animals of all kinds, and promote choice and reinforcement based husbandry for exotic pets as well.”
